WHERE ARE THEY NOW?? |
To find classic, long retired locomotives from the Chicago & North Western is not as hard as it seems. With the exception of GP15s GP50s, MP15s, and SD38s, you can find just about any of the models on the CNW roster that existed at the merger still yellow and green. There may be one near you. Here are all the ones that are known to be out there. If you know of a locomotive still in CNW paint that isn't on the list, please submit the unit number and photo to mike-endres@juno.com.

Also, the UP's former CNW "400" series patches (former CNW 4700s) were bought by
a leasing company and were last reported in the south. (that I know of.) They
still sported "traditional yellow" paint last I knew.
Check your local patch list for AC4400s.
