THREE CNW ENGINES Race Across Iowa

8701-officials.jpg UP Officials efficiently efficiency test the crew on KAPOA at
Missouri Valley... Unfortunately, the second official failed to maintain
Three point contact as he got off an engine... I'm afraid that's
			an "act two" failure!!!

Too bad the sun wasn't like this for the CNW catch....(out of the west)
cnw8646.jpg The CNW 8646 was third of three in the consist, along with CNW 8681
			and CNW 8701

cnw8701.jpg First sight of the train was a little west of Arion... The train sped
along at maximum authorized speed, and none of the Form B foremen
gave me a hand in my efforts to slow it down!

cnw8701overhead.jpg The consist, with a little zoom, heads westward after meeting the
Salt Lake Z train at Mo Valley, towards the Highway 30 bridge....
cnw8701wbine.jpg The Z train speeds into Woodbine, again pushing 70 mph. The 'fans
were out in full force, attempting to give chase.

dana-vs-UP.jpg Railfans get a good lesson on Railroad Safety from a couple of friendly
UP officials at Missouri Valley. Forget that, check the consist in the background!
screewed.jpg If there are CNW engines in the area and you go out to chase them, the
view from your windshield is likely to be this.... LOL!!
