CNW engines, and an Alco at Eagle Grove

Nevada, 02/10/02

CNW 6871 Northbound on MKCIT arrives in Nevada.

Fresh frost & ice covered the railroad signs east of town.

The ex-BCR Alco idled at the towers at Eagle Grove.

The unit was on its way to the Iowa-NorthWestern (IANW)

At Boone, A CEFX leased unit led a WB coal train.  I've heard these things are kinda rare.

This interesting stacker passed through Ames.  Third unit is CNW. (location: Minnesota Ave.

Earlier in the week, CNW 8603 led a WB stacker through Jordan, IA.

Another shot of the train as it splits the signals before heading into Boone.
